Nate Treinen - Head Coach
Treinen is in his second year as head men's and women's track and cross country coach. He has served as an assistant coach within the program for the past two and a half years. He also served as Briar Cliff's interim cross country and track coach from Jan. 1-May 17, 2004.
Treinen served as an assistant coach under Bryan Betzold and Matt Canterbury. Treinen, a 2003 BCU graduate, was a three-year member of the BCU Track team and still holds school records in the 4x100, 4x200 and sprint medley relays. Treinen is the third member of his family to graduate from Briar Cliff.
He was a 1999 graduate of Remsen St. Mary's and a four-year track letterwinner for the Hawks. His medley relay team garnered all-state honors after second and third place state meet finishes.
Treinen and his wife, Kristin, reside in Sioux City.
