Josh Malenosky - Assistant Coach
Josh Malenosky enters his first year as a Chargers Assistant Coach. He will serve as the Chargers outfielders coach.
 
Malenosky joins the Chargers staff following a career in which he was the Chargers starting left fielder for the last four years. Malenosky was a member of the 2005 Charger team that qualified for the NAIA World Series
 
A player of consistency is what Malenosky proved to be. He attained a fielding percentage of .963, while roaming the BCU outfield. Malenosky, at the plate, was a steady switch hitter, compiling a contact percentage of .907, only striking out 53 times in 573 at bats.
 
In his four years he recorded a .291 career batting average while collecting 171 hits with 17 doubles. Malenosky also scored 94 times and had 75 runs batted in making him a massive contributor, batting most of his career in the nine hole. He also collected 49 base on balls and 10 hit by pitches to give him an on base percentage of .356. Malenosky was a three-time baseball letter winner for the Raiders of Sioux City East High School.
