Joe Schmitz - Assistant Coach- OL
Joe Schmitz is in his first year as an assistant with the Charger Football Program. Schmitz will serve as the team's offensive line coach as well as the head junior varsity coach and video coordinator. Schmitz will also assist with the recruiting. Prior to coming to Briar Cliff, he served three years as an assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Prior to that, he started 42 games for the Titans of Oshkosh, where he was a three-year all-conference center.
The Menomonee Falls, Wisc. native earned his undergraduate degree from Oshkosh in 2009 and his master's degree in 2010. Schmitz and his wife, Jenni, reside in Sioux City.
