Skylar Sanford of Moville, IA has signed a letter of intent to wrestle at Briar Cliff for the 2011-2012 season.
"Skylar will challenge for a spot at either 149 or 157. He is a tough wrestler with a good attitude and we are excited to have him," said head coach Joe Privitere.
Sanford was a fifteen-time letterwinner for the Wildcats of Woodbury Central Community High School (four each in wrestling, football, and track, two in baseball and one in cross country). The wrestling team captain and district qualifier was also a team captain in track and a two-time state participant in football.
Aside from athletics, Sanford was in theater, speech, and the drama department as well as a member of the honor roll. The son of Lawrence and Even Sanford plans on studying sports medicine at Briar Cliff.
