Kathryn Haun, of Kimball, Neb., has signed a letter of intent to golf at Briar Cliff University, next fall. Haun was a four-time golf letterwinner for the Longhorns of Kimball Junior/Senior High School. The 5-4 Kimball was a three-time all-conference golfer and earned numerous tournament awards. As a senior, she helped her team to the state meet, where they finished eighth. She also earned four letters as a member of the spirit squad.
Aside from athletics, Haun was a member of the conference honor band and the honor roll. She was named chamber youth volunteer of the year and Farmers' Day Queen. She served on the Nebraska Attorney General's Youth Council and was a student senator for Senator Philip Erdman. The daughter of Scott and Angie Haun of Kimball, Nebraska plans to major in radiology or nursing at Briar Cliff.
