(Jan. 9, 2008)  Glenwood's Christa Stewart has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for head coach Mike Power at Briar Cliff University.  Stewart, a two-sport standout at Glenwood High School is currently averaging 19.7 ppg, 11.5 rpg.and 4.0 blocks per game for the Rams' basketball team. A year ago, the 6-0 Stewart was named third team all-state as well as all-county, all-conference, all-district, all-Southwest Iowa and all-Western Iowa for her contributions on the basketball court. Following her sophomore campaign she was named all-county, second team all-conference and all-district and the Mills County Female Athlete of the Year. As a freshman, she was an honorable mention all-county choice. Stewart owns numerous school records including most rebounds and blocks in a game, season and career. In volleyball, Stewart earned numerous honors including honorable mention all-state as well as first team all-county, all-conference and all-district as a senior. Stewart is the daughter of Mike and Cheryl Stewart.
