Megan Salcedo

(Jan. 9, 2008) Omaha Marian's Megan Salcedo has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Briar Cliff next year.  The 5-11 Salcedo is currently averaging 14.2 ppg. She averaged 12.4 ppg and 6.3 rpg as a junior as she helped the Crusaders of Marian High School to a record of 17-7. She shot an amazing 62.2 percent from the field and earned Class A honorable mention all-state honors. She was also selected to the Metro Holiday Tournament and Newton Invitational all-tournament teams. Salcedo became a starter during her sophomore year and has started every game for the past two seasons. As a sophomore, she shot 55.3 percent from the floor and added 6.4 ppg and 4.5 rpg. Aside from athletics, Salcedo is also involved with National Honor Society, Big Sister Little Sister, FCA and various sports camps. Salcedo is the daughter of Al and Lisa Salcedo.
