Amanda Burckhard-Neff, of Rapid City, S.D., has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Briar Cliff University, next year.

Burckhard-Neff was a two-time softball letterwinner for the Cobblers of Central High.  The 5-8 first baseman/outfielder was named the team's best offensive player four times, twice with the junior varsity and twice with the varsity.  She was named the junior varsity's MVP as a sophomore.  She served as a manager for the wrestling team for two years.

Aside from athletics, Burckhard-Neff earned two academic letters and was a member of the honor roll and National Honor Society.  The daughter of Thomas Neff and Cheryl Burckhard plans to major in biology at Briar Cliff.
