Jill Muhe - Head Coach
In her first year of overseeing the Briar Cliff volleyball program, former professional beach volleyball players Jill Muhe' and her team finished with a 20-17 record.  Under Muhe' the BCU Chargers made their first volleyball appearance at the National Championship. 
 
Muhe' came to Briar Cliff after serving as an assistant coach at Oxnard College, in Oxnard, Calif., for two seasons.  Her coaching resume also includes serving as an assistant at NCAA Division II University of California-Davis, varsity boys volleyball coach at Calabasas High School in Calabasas, Calif. and an assistant coach at Pierce College, in Woodland Hills, California.  She also brings with her ample club and camp experience.  She has coached the California Heat Volleyball Club's 15-year old elite team for two years while also serving as the club's head beach program coach.  Additionally, she has worked numerous volleyball camps, including the Sinjin Smith and Randy Stoklos camps.
 
Muhe' played collegiately at the University of California-Davis where she was a four-year letterwinner.  In addition, she was a three-time first team all-conference selection and a two-time all-Southwest Region selection.  As a senior captain, she was tabbed the conference's MVP. 
  
She earned a bachelor's degree in exercise science from University of California-Davis in 1998 and a master's degree from the University of La Verne in 2001.  She also became a National Athletic Training Association board-certified athletic trainer in 2000.  She is currently working on a doctorate in organizational management with an emphasis in leadership.
 
Muhe' has played alongside, or against, the likes of sand volleyball legends Misty May, Kerri Walsh, Holly McPeak and Karch Kiraly.  She retired from the professional circuit in 2010 and now has focused her efforts on sharing her vast knowledge and skill set with the up and coming generations of volleyball players.

Kati Person - Assistant Coach
Katrina (Kati) Person is in her first year as an assistant coach with the Briar Cliff volleyball program. She has previously coached three years of Tri-State Club Volleyball for Heelan High school as well as oone year at Dakota Valley High School.
 
Person was a three-year starter as an outside hitter at Briar Cliff. The three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete garnered first team all-conference and second team all-region honors as a senior. Person was among team leaders in games played, kills per game, and serving percentage. She was voted by coaches and teammates as the team's "Best Offensive Player" in 2005. That same year, she was featured in Sports Source magazine as an outstanding athlete in the tri-state area.  She was also named to several all-tournament teams during her BCU career.
 
Person graduated in May of 2006 with a bachelor of arts degree in mass communications from Briar Cliff University.  Person, who remains active in co-ed power tournaments around Siouxland, is part of the enrollment management team at Briar Cliff.
 
Olivia Terzo Image
Olivia Terzo - Assistant Coach
Olivia Terzo is in her first year as an assistant coach with the Briar Cliff volleyball program.  She came to Briar Cliff after two seasons as the head volleyball coach at Indian Land High School in Fort Mill, South Carolina.  She also served as the junior varsity basketball coach at Indian Land.
 
Terzo was a three-year starter at libero at Charleston Southern University, in Charleston, South Carolina.  The three-time scholar-athlete led the team in digs from 2005 until 2007.  She earned the squad's Buccaneer Award in 2006.  She graduated in December of 2007 with a bachelor's of science degree in physical education after serving as the assistant head coach at Fort Dorchester High School in Charleston, S.C. during the fall of 2007.
 
At Indian Land High School, Terzo was a four-year volleyball letterwinner and a three-time all-state selection.  The 2003 Lancaster County Player of the Year led her team to a state championship in 2001 and a runner-up finish in 2002.
 
She also has club experience and has worked numerous camps including ones at Charleston Southern and Francis Marion University.
