Mike Power - Head Coach
Mike Power just finished his second consecutive year at Briar Cliff University as head women's basketball coach. Power finished 2006-07 at 9-22. Power guided the Charger women's basketball program from 1992-1998 to a 127-73 record and three consecutive NAIA Division II National Tournament appearances. He took over a program which went 0-29 the year before he arrived and five seasons later, led them to an undefeated regular season record of 36-0 in 1996-97. The following season, his Chargers opened play as the No. 1 team in the nation. His 127 victories is the most by any women's coach in BC history.

He takes the helm at BCU following eight seasons coaching at the NCAA Division II level, including head coaching stints at Metro State College of Denver, Colo., Bemidji State and Southwest Minnesota State University.

Power, a native of Bismarck, N.D., graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1988. While at Nebraska, he served as an assistant coach at Pius X High School. Upon his graduation, he became the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan, where he produced a 30-45 record in three seasons. He then coached one season at Gothenburg High School in Nebraska before coming to Briar Cliff in 1992.

Mike Davis - Assistant Coach
Mike Davis was Mike Power's assistant coachfrom 1992-1996. After leaving Briar Cliff, Davis coached youth basketball and also club soccer where he won a state cup championship. Davis played basketball at Southwestern Community College. Aftergraduating in 1976, he transferred to Briar Cliff wherehe continued his education and playedbasketballfor Ray Nacke.Davis graduated from Briar Cliff in 1978 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. Davis began working as a salesman for Palmer Candy at that time and is now Palmer's transportation manager. Davis has three children; Lindsay, 27, a graduate ofthe University of Northern Iowa,Scott, 25,a graduateof the University of Montana, and Molly, 18, a freshman at the University of Florida.
 
Christine Schroeder - Assistant Coach
Christine Schroeder joined the Briar Cliff Basketball coaching staff in the 2007-2008 season. Schroeder (Mohni) is a 1998 Briar Cliff graduate and was a member of the women's basketball team from 1994 to 1998, under the direction of Coach Mike Power.
 
Following her graduation, she taught and coached girls' basketball in Williamsburg, Iowa for one year, before she moved to Europe. While in England, Schroeder joined the RAF Mildenhall women's basketball team which represented an air base in the United States Air Force, European Command. She competed in back-to-back USAFE championships and was twice voted to the all-USAFE team. During the division championship in Germany, she was voted the USAFE MVP. Upon returing to the U.S., Schroeder worked for the federal government in a social science and education capacity. She holds a master's in human relations from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Okla., and is preparing to begin her Ph.D in psychology.
 
As an adjuct faculty member at Briar Cliff, Schroeder teaches and also provides in-home therapeutic services as an independent contractor. Schroeder and her husband Neil, have three children, two sons, Jackson, 7, Anderson, 3, and a daughter Ava, 2.
Tracie Derochie - Assistant Coach
Tracie Derochie is in her first year as an assistant with the Briar Cliff women's basketball program.  Most recently, she spent two years (1998-2000) as an assistant coach at the University of Sioux Falls.  Prior to that, she coached for two years at South Dakota State University, where she served an assistant softball coach and interim head coach while working on her graduate degree.  The 1993 Briar Cliff graduate played both basketball and softball for the Chargers.  She also helped coach softball and basketball at Bishop Heelan Catholic High School, while earning her under graduate degree.  Derochie and her husband, Thad, have two children, Megan and Maddy.  They reside in Jefferson, S.D.

Ashley Sparks - Manager

AT BC: In first year with Charger basketball program.

 
HS: Six-time letterwinner for the Vikings of Lamar High School (four in track and two in basketball)...received the Principle Award and the Sergeant's Association Award.
