Nate Treinen - Head Coach

Treinen is in his seventh year as head men's and women's track and cross country coach. He served as an assistant coach within the program for over two year and was even Briar Cliff's interim cross country and track coach from Jan. 1-May 17, 2004.

Treinen, a 2003 BCU graduate, was a three-year member of the BCU Track team and still holds school records in the 4x100, 4x200 and sprint medley relays. Treinen is the third member of his family to graduate from Briar Cliff.

He was a 1999 graduate of Remsen St. Mary's and a four-year track letterwinner for the Hawks. His medley relay team garnered all-state honors after second and third place state meet finishes.

Treinen, his wife, Kristin, and their daughter, Paige, reside in Sioux City.

Reggie Miller - Assistant Coach
Reggie Miller is in his first year as an assistant with the Briar Cliff cross country and track programs.  Miller comes to Briar Cliff from Dordt College, where he served as the assistant athletic trainer.  Miller, a Remsen, Iowa native, was a mult-sport athlete at St. Mary's High School.  He went on to graduate from Simpson College in 2004, with a degree in athletic training.  While there, Miller was a member of the Simpson Cross Country team.
 
He became a Certified Athletic Trainer, licensed in Iowa, in 2005 and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist in 2007.  He earned a master's degree in exercise science from Wayne State College in 2008.
