Junior Sarah Wieseler led the Chargers in kills as the squad pushed it's record to 6-2 on the season with back-to-back wins at the Sioux Falls Invitational. The Chargers defeated Mayville State, 3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-17) and Valley City State, 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-21, 25-22). Wieseler produced eight kills against Mayville and a dozen against Valley City.
Seniors Lisa Oberhauser and Nicole Hoogeveen collected seven kills apiece against Mayville State. Senior Ali Holtgrewe handed out a team-high 16 assists and also had a pair of ace serves. Junior Liz Krog had 20 digs in the win.
Against Valley City State, Wieseler led three Chargers with 10-plus kills with 12 of her own. Freshman Monica Boeding had 11 kills, while Oberhauser added 10. Freshman Erin Frank dished out 30 assists, while Krog found 19 digs.
The Chargers, who were a perfect 4-0 at the invite, will be in action again, Wednesday, at Mount Marty.
