Briar Cliff junior shortstop Tana Colt was named first team all-conference by the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Colt led the Chargers in hits (47), runs (28) and stolen bases (7). She also had a team-best .431 batting average. 
Jessica Horton, a sophomore outfielder, garnered second team all-conference accolades. Horton had a team-high slugging percentage of .509 and led the squad with three triples. She hit .389 and was second on the team with 42 hits, 21 runs and seven doubles.
 
Briar Cliff's single-season and all-time strikeout leader, Camille Cruz, was an honorable mention selection. Cruz, a senior, was a second team all-conference performer a season ago. In 2010, Cruz had an ERA of 3.09 and had an impressive conference-high 205 strikeouts with three shutouts. She was 15-17 on the mound and threw 199.2 innings.  Senior third baseman Reagon Anthony also received honorable mention laurels. Anthony paced the squad with 23 RBI and nine doubles. She hit .311 with a slugging percentage of .444.
 
The Chargers of head coach Michelle Schaper finished the season with an overall record of 17-20 and a conference mark of 11-13.  They just missed the field for the conference postseason tournament, finishing ninth in the league.
