Michaela Carew rounded out her collegiate golf career by finishing fourth in the GPAC. She tied for 17th in today's GPAC Qualifier No. 4, at Two Rivers Golf Club, in Dakota Dunes, S.D., with a 46-44-90. On the year, she finished with a 326.
Sioux Falls won the final qualifier as the Tigers shot a 341 on the day and a 1,329 on the year. Sioux Falls finished second in the overall GPAC standings, behind Dakota Wesleyan, which shot a cumulative 1,303. The Tigers finished second at today's qualifier with a 348. Briar Cliff was fourth with a 358.
Dani Bellet of Dakota Wesleyan won today's qualifier (39-37-76) and was the conference's overall medalist with a 298. Kelli Baseley of DWU was second overall, while Sioux Falls' Sarah Gilbert was third (323). Dakota Wesleyan advances to the NAIA National Golf Championships in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Briar Cliff was led on the day by Sydney Moran, who fired a 44-42-86 and earned a share of sixth place. Brittany Walsh tied with Carew with a 47-43-90. Michelle Determan carded a 48-44-92, while Kristina Schiltz recorded a 47-49-96.
