The Briar Cliff softball team split with Nebraska Wesleyan, one of the top teams in the GPAC this season.  The Prairie Wolves won the first game, 5-4, while the Chargers won the nightcap, 4-2.
In the opener, the Prairie Wolves scored three runs in the first, but the Chargers responded with three runs of their own in the top of the third.  Nebraska Wesleyan then scored a run in both the fourth and fifth innings.  NWU outhit the Chargers, 12-10.  The Chargers got multiple hits from Annessa Garcia (2-4), Jen Kruckenberg (2-3) and Jessica Horton (2-3).
 
Camille Cruz allowed just five hits and two runs to get the pitching victory for Briar Cliff in game two.  Reagon Anthony was a perfect 4-4 at the plate with a double and RBI to lead the Charger bats.
 
Briar Cliff is now 17-18 overall and 11-11 in the GPAC.  Nebraska Wesleyan is 26-10 (17-5).
