The Bruins of Bellevue, ranked No. 7 in the latest NAIA Baseball Coaches' Poll, beat the Chargers of Briar Cliff, 12-2, in eight innings.  The Bruins outhit the Chargers, 17-5, including a pair of long balls.
The Chargers got hits from John Elliot (2-4), Matt Gonzales (1-3) and Lincoln Dunham (1-3).  The Chargers left eight runners on base, while the Bruins stranded 11.  Thomas Alessio started the game on the mound for the Chargers and suffered the loss after going 2.2 innings and giving up four runs on five hits.  Nick Hegge, Justin Green, Garret Linhardt and Jake Olivas also saw time on the mound for the blue and gold. 
 
With the win, Bellevue improved to 35-7 on the season, while Briar Cliff's record fell to 11-37.
