After day one of the Nebraska Wesleyan Spring Invite, Michaela Carew and her Briar Cliff teammates are in second place after shooting a 343, nine strokes of the pace set by Sioux Falls.  Carew is the tournament's overall leader after carding a 38-39-77.  She is two shots ahead of Sarah Gilbert of Sioux Falls.
Michelle Determan and Sydney Moran are both tied for 10th place.  Determan shot a 44-44-88, while Moran fired a 46-42-88.  Brittany Walsh is 15th after finishing the first round with a 90 (45-45).  Kristina Schiltz rounded out the Chargers' top squad with a 49-47-96.  Two individuals also took to the course for BCU, as Sarah Olberding and Rebecca Thoms shot 59-50-109 and 57-54-11, respectively.
 
Day two of the invite begins at 10 a.m., tomorrow, at Pioneers Golf Course, however, the Chargers will not be playing day two.
