Clay Pagels set a school record and qualified for nationals in the high jump with a leap of 6-07 at the Sioux City Relays, which were held at Olson Stadium. Several other Chargers also shined on the event's opening day.
Sam Acheampong won his preliminary heat in the 100m dash in a time of 10.70. He will take the top time into tomorrow's finals. Erik Lindsay won his prelim in the 110m hurdles, while the Chargers' 4x100m relay team did so as well. The relay team, made up of Jon Smith, Acheampong, Cecil Milton and Lindsay set a new school record with their performance.
