A pair of Briar Cliff football players will participate in the 2010 College Fanz Senior Classic, which will be played April 24, at Salina Stadium, in Salina, Kansas.  Kick-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.  The College Fanz Sports Network will provide live coverage at www.collegefanz.com.
Linebacker Jarrod Makovicka and defensive back Taylor Schumacher will represent Briar Cliff.  Both Chargers will be playing on the Americans team, coached by Baker's Mike Grossner. The Nationals team will be coached by Kent Kessinger of Ottawa University.  Makovicka will be wearing No. 43, while Schumacher will wear No. 10.

Makovicka was a first team all-GPAC selection this past fall after leading the league in tackles for the second-straight season (94.5 tackles).  Schumacher earned second team all-conference accolades after recording 69.5 tackles.  He also tied a single season school record with five interceptions.

Several professional scouts are expected to be on hand as over 120 of the NAIA's best compete.  Last year, Brennan White represented in the Chargers at this event, which is now in its fourth year.
