Senior Liz Grider has been selected as the Hauff Mid-America Sports/Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Women's Basketball Player-of-the-Year and she headlines the GPAC Basketball All-Conference Teams for 2009-10.  She is Briar Cliff's first-ever two-time first team all-GPAC selection.
Grider, who led the nation in scoring averaging 25.9 ppg, also paced the Chargers with 70 three-pointers, 5.2 rpg, 30 blocks and 88 steals.  She was second on the team with 103 assists.  In the conference, she ranks first in scoring, third in steals, fourth in three-pointers, sixth in blocked shots and eighth in assists.

Megan Salcedo, who averaged 12.6 ppg for the Chargers, was a second team selection.  Salcedo shot a GPAC-high 69.7 percent from the field and was second on the team with 5.0 rpg.  Morgan Brown and Michelle Determan were both honorable mention all-conference choices.  Brown averaged 11.1 ppg and shot a team-high 80.6 percent from the charity stripe.  Determan (7.2 ppg) led the blue and gold with 104 assists.

The Chargers own a 25-7 record and have earned an at-large berth in the NAIA National Tournament, which begins March 10, in Sioux City.
