Southern Nazarene improved to 10-1 on the season with a doubleheader sweep of Briar Cliff (5-2, 7-4).  The Crimson Storm is now 10-1 on the season, while the Chargers slip to 0-7.
In game one, the Chargers were held to only three hits.  Cody Aughton was 1-3 with a double and an RBI.  Jeremy Majeres was 1-2, while David Kowal was 1-3 with a run and an RBI.  The Crimson Storm had eight hits and left six runners on base, while the Chargers stranded three runners.  Southern Nazarene's Chase Roten pitched a complete game to earn the win.  Andrew Davis threw 5.2 innings for the Chargers, giving up five runs on six hits and taking the loss.
 
In the second game, the Chargers scored first and led 1-0 through three innings.  After four, it was 2-1 in favor of the Chargers.  The Crimson Storm, however, plated five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to take a 6-3 advantage.  The Storm outhit the Chargers, 12-6.  Zack Swart earned the win on the mound, registering nine strikeouts along the way.  Nate Olson got the start for the Chargers and allowed four runs on eight hits in 4.0 innings of work.  Garrett Linhardt took the loss in relief, allowing two runs on two hits in one inning.  David Kowal led the BCU offense, going 3-4 with two RBI.  Jake Olivas was 2-3 with a double, a homer and two RBI, while Andrew Benton was 1-4 with a run.  The Chargers left eight on the pads compared to just five by the Crimson Storm.
 
Up next for the Chargers, a single, nine-inning game at Oklahoma City, at 1 p.m., tomorrow.  The Chargers will then play a doubleheader at Benedictine, Sunday, before returning home.
