Kyle Semprini knocked down five three-pointers as he set the school's single season record and helped the Chargers roll to an 84-63 victory over the Tigers of Doane.  Semprini, who led the Chargers with 25 points, now has 99 threes on the season, breaking the school record of 98 he set a year ago.

The Chargers were hot from the start and finished by shooting 64.2 percent for the game, including 45.5 percent from beyond the arc.  In the first half, the Chargers were 9-14 from downtown and led by 22 at the break (50-28).  The Tigers, who led 8-2 early in the first half, shot 35.5 percent overall and 17.4 percent from three-point land (4-23).  Doane, however, was a perfect 15-15 from the line.  Briar Cliff outrebounded Doane, 32-28 and outscored them, 38-18 in the paint.

Matt Geelan finished with a 12-point, 11-assist double-double, while Chase Vander Feen tossed in 11.  Kyle Swanson had nine points, while Eric Rohe netted seven points before fouling out.  Ben Sitzmann chipped in six points and James Larson and Jared Clement each had four.  Brent Miller, Michael Collison and John Engler each finished with a basket.  Vander Feen led the blue and gold on the boards with five caroms.

Tyler Cyboron led three Tigers in double figures with 17 points.  Zach Moult finished with 12, while Jens Scholl added 10.  Jake Johnson led Doane on the glass with five rebounds.

The win was No. 20 on the season for the Chargers as they improved to 20-7 overall.  In conference play, the Chargers are now 11-5 and will host the crosstown Mustangs of Morningside, Wednesday.  Doane slipped to 5-19 (4-12).
