A 70-64 loss at NAIA No. 1 Hastings on Saturday resulted in a demotion for the Briar Cliff women's basketball team.  The Chargers dropped one spot, from fourth to fifth, in the NAIA Div. II Women's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll.  The loss to Hastings snapped the Chargers' nine-game winning streak. 
Hastings held on to the top spot in the poll, followed by Davenport and Cedarville.  Northwestern switched with BC, taking over fourth place.  Aside from Hastings, Northwestern and Briar Cliff, three other GPAC teams are in the rankings.  Morningside is 12th, while Concordia is No. 25.  Mount Marty is receiving votes.
 
The Chargers will take a 22-4 overall record and a 11-3 GPAC mark into a pair of home games this week.  The Chargers wil face Sioux Falls, Wednesday and Doane, Saturday.
