Kylie Dilla's baseline jumper as time expired sent the game between the Briar Cliff Chargers and the Dordt Defenders into overtime.  The NAIA No. 4 Chargers won the contest in overtime, 79-76.

Dordt led by as many as a dozen in the first half and led 62-52 with 4:48 left to play in regulation.  The Chargers then went on a 10-1 run, pulling it to 63-52 on two Dilla free throws with 1:45 left in the game.  Dilla missed a jumper with seven seconds on the clock, but Michelle Determan snatched the rebound and the put-back.  Dordt led 66-64 with just over a second left to play, when Kate Du Mez was called for an offensive foul on the inbound.  Determan took the ball out of bounds and tossed it to Dilla for the buzzer-beater.  In the game's final 3:40, Dilla proceeded to score seven points and record a steal and defensive rebound.  Dilla finished with 11 points in the contest.

Dordt led by as many as three to open the extra stanza, but three Liz Grider jumpers and a 7-8 free throw performance by BCU gave the blue and gold the victory.

Grider paced the Chargers with 28 points and nine rebounds, while Morgan Brown totaled 16 points.  Megan Salcedo dropped in 10 points before fouling out.  Britney Below, who also fouled out, had four points, while Determan had five and five assists.  Kelsey Evans and Likeisha Dotson rounded out the scoring for the Chargers with three and two points, respectively.  The Chargers struggled from the field, shooting only 38.2 percent.  They did, however, force the Defenders into 28 turnovers and in turn, scored 28 points off those miscues.

Dordt, which only used a seven-player rotation, was led by Julia Dekoekkoek's game-high 30 points.  Amber Soodsma had 17 and a team-high nine rebounds.  McKinzie Schmidt and Bre Schneidermann rounded out Dordt's double-digit scorers with 12 and 10, respectively.  The Defenders shot 44.6 percent for the game and had six more shots than the Chargers in the overtime period.

With the win, their ninth in-a-row, the Chargers improved to 22-3 on the season with an 11-2 mark in conference play.  Dordt is now 14-12 overall and 6-8 in the GPAC.  The Chargers will now go on the road, Saturday, to face NAIA No. 1 Hastings.
