At a recent end-of-the-season banquet, it was announced that Katie Blomberg received the Guarneri Cup for the 2009 season. This award is given by head coach Pat Herbst to the Most Valuable Player of the year.

Blomberg, a junior midfielder, has been a starter for the Chargers for three consecutive years. The Offensive Golden Boot award went to senior Ashley Wehle. She played in 17 total games and finished the season with five goals and 17 points.   The Defensive Golden Boot went to seniors Rachelle Travis and Rose Crimmins, who have both started all 17 games this season. Senior Lisa Maxey received the Spirit of the Charger Award. The midfielder ended the season with six points from a pair of goals and a pair of assists. The Champion of Character Award went to senior Erinn Flynn who had three goals in 17 games.  Freshmen Joanna Fravel and Emily Campbell were co-recipients of the Newcomer of the Year Award. Campbell started all 17 games, while Fravel made 14 starts. The Most Improved award went to freshman, Catie Kayser. 
The Chargers ended the 2009 soccer season with an overall record of 5-10-2 and 3-7-2 in the GPAC.
