Briar Cliff University soccer coach Pat Herbst has recently announced that senior Buddy Goodenkauf has earned the Guarneri Cup, which is handed out annually to the team's most valuable player.

Senior Buddy Goodenkauf was awarded the Guarneri Cup (MVP). The goalie had 90 saves on the season and finished with a GAA of 1.49. The Offensive Golden Boot went to junior midfielder Matt Boubel for his six goals and four assists. Receiving the Defensive Golden Boot was junior Alex Witmer, who played in 17 games this season. Junior Thomas Hunt was awarded the Spirit of the Charger Award, finishing the season with one goal and one assist. The Champion of Character Award went to Sophomore Grant Moris with 18 total games this season. Freshmen Danny Zach and Chase Beiermann received the Newcomer of the Year award. Beiermann had five goals on the season while Zach ended with one. Sophomore Tim McKean was awarded Most Improved for the season.
The Chargers brought the season to a close with a record of 9-9 overall and 6-6 in the GPAC.
