Three-straight losses and a crazy week of upsets around the country let Briar Cliff slip out of the national rankings.  A week after being the No. 8 team in the NAIA Div. II Men's Basketball Coaches' Top 25 Poll, the Chargers are barely receiving votes.
The Chargers, 17-6 overall, suffered a home loss to Dakota Wesleyan, 77-58, last Wednesday and a road loss to Nebraska Wesleyan, 83-74, Saturday.

Oklahoma Wesleyan remained the No. 1 team in the country despite suffering its first loss of the season, an 81-70 setback at Bellevue, Saturday.  That was just one of several upsets on the week.  Last week's Top 10 suffered a combined nine losses during the week.  Bellevue, which also defeated Briar Cliff, 80-76, Dec. 30, climbed up to No. 11.

Dakota Wesleyan moved up to an 11th place tie with Bellevue after improving to 19-5.  Sioux Falls (19-6) checks in at No. 16, while Concordia (17-7) joins the national poll at No. 24.  Aside from Briar Cliff, Hastings is also receiving votes in this week's national poll.
