The Chargers fought off elimination as they defeated the Broncos of Hastings, 7-4, today, at the GPAC Postseason Baseball Tournament.  Ten of the game's 11 runs were scored in the sixth inning.  The Chargers broke a scoreless tie with a run in the bottom of the fifth inning.  Hastings responded with four runs in the top of the sixth.  Briar Cliff then went up for good with six runs in the bottom half of the inning.  David Callahan went 3-3 at the plate with two runs and two RBI, while Andy Keane struck out five and picked up a win on the mound.  Due to rain, the Chargers will not play again until 9 a.m., tomorrow.
