The Charger football team notched a
30-3 road victory over Dordt today, improving to 3-6 overall, one win more than a year ago. Drew Prohaska scored three times on the day, including the Chargers' first two scores. Prohaska finished with 82 yards on 14 carries.
The BCU attack produced 450 yards, including 274 on the ground. Stavhn Leavy had team-highs of 22 carries and 104 yards. Damien Eichelberger produced 86 yards on 13 carries. Lehi Tonga was 14-21, connecting on a 25-yard touchdown strike to Luke Roder in the second quarter. Roder finished with five catches for a team-best 72 yards. The Chargers' leading receiver Chase Colvin, was held to only one catch for seven yards.
The Charger defense was simply outstanding, holding the Defenders to 29 total yards of offense. The Defenders rushed 24 times for only 14 yards. They also used three quarterbacks in the contest, who were a combined 5-22. Taylor Schumacher led the Chargers with 4.0 tackles.
With the loss, Dordt fell to 1-8 overall and 0-8 in the GPAC.
