Concordia's Carolyn Chrzan scored 17 seconds into the match, setting the tempo for a
4-2 Bulldog victory over the Chargers of Briar Cliff, at BCU's Faber Field. Briar Cliff did everything, but stop Chrzan, who finished with a hat trick and an assist. The Chargers outshot the Bulldogs, 11-10 overall and 9-5 on goal.
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 2-0 lead on a goal by Mallorie Blanck at the 29:09 mark. A few minutes later, Katie Blomberg found Ashley Wehle in front of the net. Wehle converted, narrowing the deficit before the break. In the second half, Kayla Phillips scored off an assist by Blomberg at the 67:28 mark, knotting the game at two. Chrzan then took over, scoring at 71:28 and 86:09. Blanck and Molly Hein assisted the Bulldogs' final two goals.
With the win, Concordia improved to 6-5-2 overall and 4-3 in the GPAC. It was the Bulldogs' third-straight victory. The Chargers are now 4-7-1 overall and 2-4-1 in conference play.
