The Briar Cliff women's golf team took one more step in defending its GPAC Championship from a season ago by winning this year's GPAC Fall Women's Golf Qualifier in Vermillion, South Dakota at The Bluffs Country Club. The Chargers won the qualifier with a two-day score of 640 (317-323) and will carry a six stroke advantage over Morningside into the spring after the Mustangs shot a 646 (330-316). 

Arianna Presilla led the Chargers and the entire field at the qualifier with the best score of any player over the two days with a 154. Presilla shot 77 on both days. The other four Chargers all finished in the top-11 in a strong showing for BC with Abby Brinkman and Nicole Hemelberg tying for fourth place with 162's. Brinkman shot a 79-83 and Hemelberg flipped those scores with 83-79. Brooke Kroeger finished seventh with a 166 (82-84) and Abby Gerhardt tied for 11th with a 170 (79-91).

Morningside was led by Samantha Knight and Maria Zorrilla with identical 157's to finish tied for second and Northwestern is in third place heading into the spring with a team score of 692. Shayla Murray led the Red Raiders with a 165 to finish sixth.

This concludes the fall season for the Chargers and their season will resume in the spring. The final 36 holes of the GPAC Qualifier will be played in the spring in Columbus, Nebraska at Quail Run Golf Course.
