The Briar Cliff cross country teams will be in action this weekend, hosting the BCU Invite at Adam's Nature Preserve in McCook Lake, South Dakota on Saturday morning. The women's race will be held at 10 a.m., followed by the men's race at 10:45 a.m.

The meet will be held at Adam's Nature Preserve for the 16th-straight year, dating back to 2002 and will include 18 teams. The entire GPAC will be in attendance as well as Creighton, Wayne State and Sioux Falls to name a few other schools.

"The course is a competitor's dream because it is fast and flat," remarked Briar Cliff head cross country coach Reggie Miller. "Athletes rarely run the same part of the course more than once during the race."

This year's field will consist of over 300 competitors and will include both of last year's teams that won the invite with Morningside winning the women's race with a team time of 1:32:48.00 and was led by Tiffany Shepherd with a time of 17:51.97. Northwestern won the men's race, clocking a team time of 2:09:56.47 with Will Norris leading the Red Raiders with a 24:55.41.

Kaitlin Pauls had the best time for the Charger women last year in the 5K race with a 20:24.61 and Tony Kollasch paced the men's team with a 27:40.54 at the distance of 8K.
