The Briar Cliff women's volleyball team picked up its 10th straight victory to start the season a perfect 10-0 and are now 1-0 in the GPAC this season after winning 3-0 at Dakota Wesleyan. The Chargers are 10-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play, while the Tigers slide to 11-5 overall and 1-1 in the GPAC. 

Briar Cliff completed the sweep of Dakota State by set scores of 25-16, 25-9 and 25-20. The Chargers hit a sizzling .309 in the contest with 41 kills and only 12 errors on 94 attacks. Comparatively, the Tigers were held to a hitting percentage of .029 in the match with 24 kills and 21 errors on 103 attacks. BC racked up 39 assists, five service aces, 53 digs and 10 blocks, while Dakota Wesleyan had only 24 assists, one ace, 37 digs and three blocks.

Courtney Schafer continued her stellar play for the Charger offense with a team-high 15 kills as she now has double-digit kills in each of the past nine matches. The only contest she hasn't had at least 10 kills was the season-opening win over Dakota State when she had six K's. Emily Sanburg also reached double figures with 11 kills, followed by Toni Beck with six kills and Melissa Ditter with five. Delaney Meyer piled up 26 of the team's 39 assists and Laura Barry had nine helpers. Breanne Hankins and Brooklyn Tolliver both had double-digit digs with Hankins pacing the team with 16 and Tolliver added 12. Schafer and Kiaya Alderson shared the team lead in blocks with four apiece.

Rebecca Frick had a team-high seven kills for the Tigers and Chelsey Heeg was next in the lineup with six K's. Bridgett Knobbe had 20 assists and Sara Herman and Frick both had 10 digs.

Briar Cliff will be on the road again on Saturday afternoon with a road trip to Omaha, Nebraska to face College of Saint Mary at 1 p.m.
