The Briar Cliff women's golf team sent two teams to the Morningside Invite this afternoon, played at the Whispering Creek Golf course. The first Charger team claimed the team title by firing a 328. The second BC squad finished tied for fifth place with a score of 370. Taylor Minger led all Chargers with a low score of 79 to take second place overall.

Team one for the Blue and Gold had three players in the top five and four players finish in the top 10. Minger was the best finisher for team one, carding a 79 to finish in second place. Abby Brinkman finished tied for third with a score of 82. Nicole Hemelberg fired an 83 to finish fifth, while Brooke Kroeger shot an 84 to finish tied for sixth. Arianna Presilla rounded out the scoring for team one with a 91 to finish tied for 14th.

Morgan Steele and Ann Hedlund were the best finishers for team two, both turning in 92's to finish tied for 19th overall. Abby Gerhardt and Lindsey Sorlie each fired 93's. Maisie Hurd completed the tournament for the Cliff, turning in a 97.

The Cliff will now turn its attention to the BC/Lila Frommelt Invite on Friday and Saturday. Both days of the tournament will be played at the Two Rivers Golf Course in North Sioux City, South Dakota.
