Men's Basketball - Fri, Jun. 16, 2017

Briar Cliff University men's basketball coach Mark Svagera has announced the signing of Keeshaun Cobb, of Avondale, Arizona.  Cobb was a four-time basketball letterwinner for the Tigers of Millennium High School.

"We're excited to have Keeshaun join us at Briar Cliff," said Svagera.  "Keeshaun has the ability to drive the ball and make plays for others, and shoots the three very well.  More importantly he is a great young man and will be an excellent fit in our basketball program."

The freshman of the year earned the program's most improved player award as a sophomore before becoming a two-time captain, team MVP, all-district, all-section and all-academic selection.  The 6-1 Cobb also earned all-conference honors as a senior and was selected to the Judy Dixon Holiday All-Tourney Team.  He averaged 13.4 ppg and 6.0 rpg as a junior and 14.4 ppg and 6.6 rpg as senior.  He also finished his career with 316 assists and 161 steals.

Off the court, the honor roll and principal's list member served as a student trainer and was a member of both HOSA and DECA.

The son of Cedric and Regina Cobb plans to major in biomedical science at Briar Cliff.
