Charger track and field coach Nate Treinen announced the addition of Brianna Hunter to his 2017-18 Briar Cliff recruiting class. Hunter, a native of Clovis, New Mexico, is currently completing her senior season at Robert D. Edgren High School.
Hunter is a 10-time letterwinner for the Eagles with four letters in track, three in basketball, two in softball and one in volleyball. She placed third at the Missouri State Finals with a throw of 40'7" in the shot put last season. Hunter was a member of the All-American All-State Track and Field Team, MRVC East All-Conference Team and was voted the Most Valuable Thrower each of the past three seasons. She also won sectionals, districts and conference in the shot put during both her freshman and sophomore seasons and won conference as a junior.
Outside of athletics, Hunter is a member of FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America), Student-2-Student Leadership Program, FBLA and the A and B Honor Roll.
Brianna is the daughter of Brian and Teronda Hunter and is looking to major in special education.
