In an evenly-contested men's soccer battle, Briar Cliff edged Northwestern, 1-0, in Orange City, Iowa.  The Chargers outshot the Red Raiders, 20-16, but Northwestern held a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal.  The game-winner came from Matt Boubel, 22 minutes into the match. Buddy Goodenkauf earned the shutout in the BC net, making seven saves.  The win improved the Chargers' record on the season to 1-1 in the GPAC and 4-2 overall.  Northwestern fell to 1-6-1 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
