Freshman Joanna Fravel scored at the 23:17 mark as Briar Cliff picked up a 1-0 conference win at Northwestern.  The Chargers dominated in chances, outshooting the Red Raiders, 28-14 overall and 13-6 on-goal.  Courtney Bahney made six saves and earned the shutout in the BCU net.  With the victory, Briar Cliff improved to 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the GPAC.  The Red Raiders fell to 0-6-1 overall and 0-2-1 in conference play.  The Chargers will be in action again, at 1 p.m., Saturday, as they host the Tigers of Doane.
