Briar Cliff junior Krystal Jackson picked a fine time to shine. Competing in the high jump on the final day of the NAIA Track and Field Championships, at Ralph Korte Stadium at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, in Edwardsville, Ill., Jackson cleared 5-07, a personalbest and a new school record. Jackson tied for third overall, earning all-American honors.
Yesterday, sophomore Erik Lindsay Lindsayclocked a 14.72 and finished fifth in his semifinal heat of the 100m. In the prelims, Lindsay ran a 14.89. He entered the meet seeded eighth with a school-record time of 14.60. Lindsay was also part of BCU's 4x100m relay team which shaved time off its school record.The Chargers clocked a school-best 42.18 and finished 20th overall. Thesquad, made up ofsenior AJ Roden, freshman Sam Acheampong, sophomore Cecil Milton and Lindsay,were ranked 26th going into the event.
The BCU women (Jackson) finished 40th overall in the team standings.
