Sophomore Erik Lindsay ran a 14.89 in the 110m hurdles at the NAIA Track and Field Championships, at Ralph Korte Stadium at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville, in Edwardsville, Illinois. Lindsay finished second in his heat, qualfying for tomorrow's semifinals. Lindsay entered the meet seeded eighth with a school-record time of 14.60. Lindsay was also part of BCU's 4x100m relay team which continued to shave time off its school record. The Chargers clocked a school-best 42.18 and finished 20th overall. The squad, made up of senior AJ Roden, freshman Sam Acheampong, sophomore Cecil Milton and Lindsay, were ranked 26th going into the event. The meet will continue through Saturday. Lindsay's semifinal heat will be tomorrow at 1 p.m. The 110m final will take place at 4:40 p.m. The Chargers' other national qualifier, Krystal Jackson, will compete in the high jump at 2 p.m., Saturday. The junior is ranked 13th going into the event.
