The Briar Cliff softball team split a home conference doubleheader with Northwestern today at the SYA Complex.  In game one, the Charger offense scored in three of the first four innings of game, giving ace Camille Cruz all of the assistance she needed for a 4-2 victory.  Cruz struck out eight in the opener.  In the second game, the Chargers left 16 runners on base in a 2-0 decision.
