The Briar Cliff men's golf team posted the third-best score at today's Midland Lutheran Men's Invite.  The Chargers shot a 337, paced by Chris Wolak's 80.  Wolak was consistant on both the front and back, recording a 40-40 and finishing with a share of third place.
Brett McCarville was just two strokes behind, finishing tied for seventh with a 43-39-82.  McCarville played the back nine better than any other Charger.  Gene Williams finished with a 39-44-83 and was tied was 10th overall.  Adam Freed and Doug Loutsch rounded out the Chargers' squad with a 43-49-92 and a 47-46-93, respectively.
 
Wayne State won the team title with a 320, while the host school was eight shots back with a 328.  Adam Fields of Wayne State earned medalist honors with a 40-35-75.  Midland Lutheran's Justin Zebolsky was the invite's runner-up with a 38-41-79.
