Doane's offensive explosion continued today as the Tigers swept Briar Cliff, 14-8 and 8-3.  The Tigers registered a grand slam in the bottom of the first inning and kept a hot bat throughout.  In their last four games, the Tigers have plated 50 runs.With the losses, the Chargers fall to 20-24 overall and 10-10 in the GPAC.  The Tigers climbed ahead of the Chargers in the GPAC standings, with a mark of 11-9 in league play and 17-24 overall.  The top eight teams in the conference standings qualify for the GPAC Tournament, which will be played next week in Hastings, Nebraska.  The Chargers are currently tied with Sioux Falls for eighth place.  The Chargers will wrap up the regular season this Friday and Saturday with a road doubleheader at Northwestern (11th in the GPAC) and a home doubleheader with Morningside (fifth in the GPAC).
