BCU Freshman Sam Acheampong

The BCU track team performed well on the first day of collegiate action at this year's Sioux City Relays. The squad was led by school record-setting performances by Erik Lindsay (110m hurdles) and Sam Acheampong (100m).
Lindsay ran a 14.77 in the 110 hurdles in the prelims and is the top seed for Saturday's final. He also garnered a second place finish in the open 400m, clocking a 50.06 and qualified for the finals in the 100m with the sixth-best prelim time (11.21). Acheampong owns the third-fastest prelim time in the 100m after running a school record 10.84.
