The BCU men's golf team swept its own invite, finishing one-two at today's Briar Cliff Spring Invite. The Chargers' top squad shot a 308 on the 7,061-yard Green Valley Golf Course to run away from the field. The Chargers' "B" team was second after shooting a 315. BCU golfers finished 1-2-3 with Bill Keane taking home medalist honors after firing a 38-36-74.
Josh Fleming finished second, winning a scorecard tiebreaker over teammate Chris Wolak. Fleming and Wolak each shot a 75. Fleming fired a 35-40, while Wolak shot a 40-35.
Keane and Wolak paced the Chargers' top unit. Jeff Demers tied for eighth with a 41-38-79, while Quinn Hoffman finished two spots back with a 42-38-80. Brett McCarville rounded out the "A" team's line-up with a 43-40-83.
Andrew Pendleton produced a 39-40-79 to finish behind Fleming on the Chargers' second unit. Adam Freed shot a 43-37-80, while Doug Loutsch shot a 40-41-81. Gene Williams carded a 45-39-84.
Two Briar Cliff individuals were in today's field, Matt Collins (41-45-86) and Matt Johnson (54-48-102).
