The Bellevue baseball team, which is ranked 15th in the nation, handed Briar Cliff a 14-4, eight-inning setback at Bellevue.  The loss dropped the Chargers' record to 20-20 overall.  The Bruins improved to 25-9.
The Chargers opened the game by scoring a pair of runs in the top of the first inning.  The Bruins responded with one in the first and four in the second.  The Bruins scored in all but two innings.  With the Bruins leading 12-2, the Chargers scored their final two runs of the game in the top of the seventh inning.  Bellevue ended the game as they plated two runs in the bottom of the eighth.
 
Eric Fox suffered the loss on the hill for the Chargers, dropping his record to 1-5 on the season.
