The Briar Cliff women's golf team tied for fifth at the third GPAC Qualifier of the year, at the Fremont Golf Club, in Fremont, Nebraska.  The Chargers shot a 387, tying crosstown Morningside.  Michaela Carew led the Chargers, shooting a 45-49-94.  Carew finished tied for 16th.  Medalist honors went to Hastings' Jenny Andrew, who shot an 84.  The team title went to Dakota Wesleyan (350).   

Kendra Kurth shot a 49-48-97, while Michelle Determan knocked in a 49-49-98.  Molly Hornbeck also registered a 98 (45-53), while Jessica Wageman rounded out the Chargers' scores with a 49-50-99.
 
After three qualifying events, the Chargers are currently fifth overall.  The top two teams, after the fourth and final qualifier, will advance to the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships.  Carew, meanwhile, leads the Chargers individually, checking in at 13th overall.
 
The final GPAC Qualifier of the year will be played April 24, at Landsmeer Golf Course in Orange City, Iowa.
