Lindsay Steenhoven, a three-time letterwinner in golf for the Black Raiders of East High School, has signed a letter of intent to golf at Briar Cliff University, next fall.
"We are very pleased to have Lindsey join our women's golf program," said BCU head coach Marian Pesky. "Lindsay brings a dedication to the game and a work ethic that make her a great student-athlete. She excels both in the classroom and on the golf course and will be a great addition to our program."
The 5-6 Steenhoven, who also played volleyball, is extremely involved off the court and the course. Her involvements include; Best Buddies, Principal Advisory Board, MVP, Student Leadership, the Sioux City Human Rights Commission for Students Providing Equality Council and junior and senior committees. She is also involved with Sunnybrook Sunday School and the Sunnybrook Skills School. The daughter of Joel and Lori Steeenhoven plans to major in accounting at Briar Cliff.
