Briar Cliff sophomore Kyle Semprini has been named the NAIA Div II Men's Basketball National Player of the Week.  The honor comes a day after being named the GPAC Co-Player of the Week.  Semprini broke the BCU single game three-point record with nine in Saturday's upset victory over NAIA No. 9 Dakota Wesleyan.

Semprini finished the game with a career-high 30 points hitting 10-18 (56 percent) from the floor and 9-15 (60-percent) from downtown.  He pushed his season total of three-pointers to a GPAC-best 85.  Semprini is only seven threes away from breaking the school's single season record of 91, held by Matt Holmes.

Semprini and the Chargers will travel to Sioux Center, Iowa, tomorrow, to face the Defenders of Dordt.  Game time is set for 8 p.m.
