Briar Cliff senior Julian Gunnels has been named the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week for the week of Dec. 1-7. Gunnels posted a 2-0 dual record and a 5-0 tournament record on the week, improving his record on the season to 11-0. Three of his wins were by pins including both dual matches. At the Simpson Invite, Gunnels defeated Matt Kelly from Wartburg (ranked second in NCAA Div. III) in the semifinals.  Gunnels is currently ranked first in the region and third in the nation at 133 pounds.
